Hi, I’m Zoë Gomer.
I’m a designer with a passion for sustainability, creating a better future, and solving big problems. Whether this be through designing packaging with eco-friendly materials, curating memorable brand experiences, creating new services, or implementing new consumer goods that improve everyday life. I love all aspects of the design process- from research and synthesizing insights to form development, user testing & beyond.
Currently, I am working for Newell Brands as a Packaging Innovation Associate in the Charlotte, NC area. In this role I advocate for consumers by creating improved packaging experiences and choosing sustainable materials while aligning with various brands’ design languages.
Previously, I worked at Beyond Design in Chicago where I had the opportunity to work on experiential design, research based projects, home goods design, and commercial product design. My first industrial design internship was at Diebold Inc. developing futuristic banking and ATM experiences. While in school I gained invaluable leadership experience through serving as both treasurer & president of RIT’s IDSA chapter as well as co-coordinating Thought At Work, a completely student run design conference.
Awards & press: RIT IDSA Student Merit Award Finalist, Alfred L. & Ruby C. Davis Leadership Scholarship Award Winner, Paperboard Packaging Alliance “Shout Out” Award, IDSA Member Spotlight, RIT University News Student Spotlight, and London International Creative Competition Honorable Mention
Outside of design my interests include running, vegetables, listening to podcasts, watercolor painting, scoping out local breweries, coffee, and basset hounds.
