Manufacturer Visit 2: OTEX
Today I visited OTEX who specializes in making apparel for electricians. The CEO of OTEX, Jake Weidert, was kind enough to show me around and tell me about their products and processes.
They are a small manufacturer that sell through a separate distributor and produce approximately 160 products a week. In their manufacturing, they utilize expensive, high quality, fire retardant fabric. Although they try use as much of this fabric as possible, they still end up producing some scraps:
What could be done with these high-quality fabric scraps? Could there be a new product that fits into OTEX's current line of products?
